James Wheadon is the Director of Undercover Operations. Mr. Wheadon entered the law enforcement community while assigned to an intelligence unit in the United States Army. From there Mr. Wheadon became uniformed law enforcement with the Ohio County Deputy Sheriff office. During his time as a Deputy Sheriff, he earned his Bachelor's degree in criminal justice from The University of Akron. He then joined a multi-county joint task force narcotics unit as an undercover street agent, followed by managing a two county narcotics unit where he spent more than 20 years as Director. Throughout his 35 years of experience in law enforcement, Mr. Wheadon facilitated and directly supervised hundreds of felony investigations for many federal agencies, resulting in thousands of arrests and successful prosecutions. Many of the drug operations were multi-jurisdictional investigations in cooperation with local, state, and federal agencies. Mr. Wheadon has taught law enforcement classes at The University of Akron, is an expert in drug identification, and his testimony is considered "expert" for the industry.

During his recent retirement, Mr. Wheadon was recognized by many local, state, and federal agencies for decades of service and professionalism.
